Philadelphia Hospital, Ambala City a Christian Minority Institution was established in 1883. Philadelphia Hospital is a 300-bedded Multi-specialty hospital. The major specialities are in all areas of the medical field i.e. Medicine, Surgery, Eye, Dental, Gynae, Physiotherapy has always been of the highest quality and of an outstanding nature. We have a Burn Unit, Dialysis Unit and Intensive Care Unit. We specialize in the drug-de-addiction unit. We are engaged in medical research, cancer research, detection and treatment and conduct regular medical audits. We have been conducting Community development programs and Medical Camps in far-flung areas. Every year we conduct more than 5000 eye operations for the poor and needy free of cost.
In the present situation of the Covid-19 Pandemic the Philadelphia Hospital, Ambala city is commonly known as Mission Hospital played a very major and significant role in reducing the mortality rate of Haryana. The recovery rate was almost 100% in 3500 patients except with high comorbid conditions like Cancer and Immunosuppressive conditions. When all the private medical fraternity was afraid and was not entertaining any patients that time Philadelphia Hospital took a Mobil Hospital Van and went out in the masses to give them free of cost treatment for all kinds of diseases. Seeing the present situation when 3rd Wave of Covid patients hit the mass again the Philadelphia Hospital is still the front line hospital and continuously working in saving the lives of people.
